MOORING FINANCIAL AT THE RESTON TRIATHLON

Six Mooring employees took part in the 2004 Reston Triathlon, including President and CEO John Jacquemin, who has competed in the event since 1990. For the third year in a row, Mooring was the major sponsor for the Triathlon along with Reston Hospital. This year that sponsorship provided funds to implement the Champion Chip timing system for the first time, a significant upgrade in the recordkeeping for the event. The organizers were delighted with the improved efficiency and accuracy of the recordkeeping afforded by replacing the former system of recording all times manually on paper with the chip system. The new system won kudos as well from many of the competitors. Mooring plans to continue its sponsorship of the Triathlon with both funds and athletes. All of the Mooring athletes plan to compete again next year and are hoping to enlist even more of their colleagues to do the same.
